Communities get involved

How your community can get involved

Community Voice Panel

Redbridge Council is looking for residents to have their say and become part of our Community Voice. This is a chance for you to get involved and make your neighbourhood a better place to live.

The Community Voice will be consulted on issues that affect residents. It will look at how to improve services with the panel able to provide suggestions on a range of issues that most affect your neighbourhoods. We may ask for your views on things such as anti-social behaviour, how to reduce burglary, the Our Street initiative, how to improve council customer services, reducing domestic abuse and, on-street violence.

Each member of the Community Voice will receive £100 worth of vouchers over a year and needs to be available for a minimum of two hours per month. We want the panel to be as representative of the borough as possible and seek to ensure all communities and age groups are heard.

Redbridge wants communities to work with us to make our neighbourhoods safer. We want to tackle your experiences of crime, anti-social behaviour, drug, and alcohol misuse problems on our streets. You know what is happening, where problems are growing. You are our eyes and ears, and we want to listen to what you tell us and work together with partners to resolve the issues in your community so you can be positive about the future of your area.

There is a diverse range of local groups working in the community that encourage residents to get involved. For example, Partners and Communities Together (PACT) and local Neighbourhood Policing Team Panels. Talk to your local team to find out what is happening in your area and how you can get involved.
